My Favourite Places to Shop
Wentworth Antiques Centre &
Emporium
Situated in The Old Builders Yard on the outskirts of the quaint village of Wentworth near Rotherham, is Wentworth Arts, Crafts & Antiques Centre and Wentworth Emporium, along with other small businesses, including Lime Tree Interiors.

If you are in search of vintage/shabby chic furniture and bric-a-brac, antiques or that special something for your interior it is well worth a visit.

I purchased a beautiful Victorian style balloon back chair from the Wentworth Emporium, which is fully stocked with shabby chic style furniture.

I have already found a home for my chair in my Boudoir and it fits in perfectly with my current decor.  I was in awe of all the lovely pieces of furniture that had been lavished with attention to bring them up to date with the current trend for vintage and shabby chic.

Situated next door to the Antique Centre is Lime Tree Interiors, a haven for those interested in interior design and decoration.  You can purchase everything from upholstered furniture, curtains, wallcoverings and extravagant chandeliers to cushions, lamps and pictures or votives and oils to make your interior nicely fragranced.
There is also an iron monger and a beautiful little shop selling traditional style fireplaces.

Elsecar Heritage Centre
Situated a couple of miles the other side of the village of Wentworth is Elsecar Heritage Centre, Barnsley.
Here you can purchase antiques & collectables, flooring, french style furniture, lamps and decorative items.  There is a small art gallery, printers and a cafe/restaurant.

Both of these centres are well worth a day out to browse at your leisure and who knows you may well pick up a bargain at the same time.

  1. Love your Victorian chair. I've just moved to Peru and I haven't been around much yet but I hope to find shops like these nearby.

A happy weekend to you Aileen!
